The Road Ahead

I thought this blog would be a good place to document and share this journey, it just doesn't feel like a FB kind of thing.

Rocket and Whidbey are galloping ahead on a fishing access road in Glacier National Forest.

Ollie hangs close at my feet, out of frame. I'm sure they don't know where they are going, but neither do I.

This is the Flathead River, in Coram, MT (just outside of Hungry Horse).

Despite the 45 degree temp, low hanging clouds, and intermittent rain fall, it is a beautiful place.

Viewing the billions of trees, brought to mind this is nature's air purifier - it smelled incredible!

Although I imagine there have been several solo pictures of me taken since Jake died, seeing this one, without him, made his absence especially profound; I think he would have liked it here.

The Jetta Sportwagon TDI has been awesome!
Even with the drag of the cargo box & bike, 250# of dog, my gear, oh and a case of wine, we are averaging >35 mpg.

This is a view of Flathead Lake on a damp grey day ~
Still beautiful....

Miles covered so far: 988

This is incredible! and so are you. Love the pictures - Ollie looks delighted, what a huge grin!

Your gray days are better than our gray days.
